Eric Krafft

Eric was a client of mine for several years, and a mentor of sorts back in the 80's. I always admired him for sharing his knowledge with me and for treating me with respect and kindness. I bumped into him at a restaurant in Galena years later where he was dining with his family, and he was so different than when I'd see him in his office on Michigan Avenue, he was having the time of his life! Sorry to hear of his passing, and my condolences to his family...Bruce Williams

To the Krafft Family,

I just learned of Eric's passing and my heart is heavy. When my family and I moved to Chicago in 2011 from Pittsburgh, Eric and David immediately invited me to have lunch with them. Eric was "mentor/friend" to me, and I'm certain to many others, one of his sweet qualities. I am blessed to have had his friendship. My sincerest condolences to Patricia, David and the beautiful, large Krafft Family that is Eric's legacy. Eric will be fondly remembered and sorely missed....rest in peace.

To family of Eric, Losing someone close to you in death is a very painful experience. Please know that God "cares for you." (1 Peter chapter 5 verse 7) When it's hard to express ourselves to others, we can find comfort in approaching God in prayer. He understands. I am deeply saddened with the passing of Eric. He was a wonderful father and grandfather.....so kind, gracious and funny!

Very sad. Eric was a neighbor as long as we have been in Chicago - over 40 years. We have always valued our contacts with him. We will miss him. Our thoughts are with you.

My wife Gail Pabst just told me of Eric's passing.
A great life of 87 years, 22 grand children a long happy marriage, WOW, what more could one ask for. I am one who will always remember Eric's hair cut, pipe and kind words. I wanted to take up the pipe because of Eric but Gail would not let me. He lived a complete life and look what he left in all of you. It was a pleasure knowing him for the time I did.
