Eric my friend, you will be missed greatly! I will cherish our friendship and the crazy times we shared as students at USC. Glad we were able to stay in touch through the years. Hold me a spot at the bar, I will see you on the flip side for that drink! Peace and love Brother!

R.I.P., Eric, you have left us too soon. Thank you for teaching me how much fun it is to river kayak and for turning me on to The Fixx. You will live on in our memories.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Eric Lawson! I worked directly with Eric at the South Carolina Commission for the Blind. Eric was a happy young man always with a smile on his face. He was a positive influence with staff and clients. May GOD BLESS YOU and add comfort to your hearts at this time!

I worked with Eric at the South Carolina Commission for the Blind. He was a pleasure to work with. He always seemed to be happy to see me and would always greet me with such a big smile. Of course, I had to smile too! I know his family and friends will miss him greatly. May your love for each other carry you through your grief.

I will miss this kind and gentle man. He was part of our "lunch group," and he was always witty, wise, and wonderful. I am saddened by his passing and offer prayers to his family and friends.

I worked with Eric at Lander. We were both on the Mezzanine Level of the Learning Center (though at opposite ends), but we would bump into each other and exchange pleasantries at the restroom or the drinking foundation. It is funny, I was just thinking about him the other day in the context of reflecting upon “things missed” due to the Covid shutdown. (Lander is not officially shutdown but due to the virus, people are simply not spending as much time on campus as they used to. I was thinking about how important casual relationships (such as I had with Eric, what sociologists call ‘weak ties’) are important for people and organizations. They help keep us grounded and in the loop. I am so sorry that I will no longer have Eric in my social orbit. I did not know Eric well, but he was always very nice and conversational. He always had a smile on his face. I told him once that I thought he had a great radio voice which made him laugh. I had no idea he was ill. My heart goes out to his family and friends. I know he will he missed.
