I am so sorry for your loss, Cindy and Ann. Eric was my next door neighbor from the time we were 8 until we left home, so he was a constant in my life. I remember a lovely conversation with home at one of our high school reunions. Though I didn´t know him well when we were young, I found him a kind and thoughtful person.

Oh Cindy, Christopher and Blair, I am heartbroken by your loss. Eric helped our three kids learn to fish and we have such warm and wonderful memories of Lake Gulliver with Eric´s famous spaghetti the first night followed by many raucous evenings of Trivial Pursuits which Eric always won. He was a kind and gentle and loving soul and who gave so much to all who were lucky enough to call him our friend. Much love to all of you. Lisa Bick

I´m so sorry Cindy. I know there´s nothing I can say to ease your feeling of loss. I knew the minute you introduced me to Eric back on Greenbush Rd. , he was your forever person. God bless you and your family and may time bring you peace.

When I started as an aide in the Michigan Senate in 1984, our offices were on the fourth floor of the Farnum Building. Eric worked in a small room across the hall. He was always welcoming and helpful to the new kid on the block! Enjoyed many conversations and I cherish the memories. Peace to his family.

I first met Eric in 5th grade at Burns Park Elementary School in Ann Arbor. He was a very bright student. I was privileged to be in the same math group with him in sixth grade, and I remember always wanting to check my answers against his.

Indeed, Eric was like a brother to me, and he seemed to enjoy the role of "older brother" to many of us.
