Being a former resident of the Toledo area, I often returned to the ER of both Riverside and St Anne's Hospital for emergency medicine. When Dr Pontasch was on the floor I always felt blessed to have him as my doctor. He was a very caring and kind man and and a very competent doctor. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.

Dear Dr. Greg and Pontasch family. I worked with your father in ER xray while he was at St. V's and couldnt have asked to have a better role model in my early career. I am saddened by his passing way too soon and hope that you find strength in each other to remember your great times spent with him. No words can really express the outstanding caregiver he is.

With a sad heart I write this. The world has lost a pillar in the Community, a Healer, a Family Man, and a neighbor who watched him grow into the Man he has become.
My Wife and I were neighbors to his Mom & Dad when they lived in the Country, in Wood County. We watched the family bloom into what they are today. When the boys went to High School, we took them to downtown Toledo (where we worked) to catch the school bus to St. John's.
Love and prayers to and your family.
Jim, Shirley Bilkovsky, and Maks too

Sincere Sympathy to the family. Dr. Pontasch was a great man who our entire family cherished. He always took wonderful care of our parents in the emergency room when we had them there which was like their second home. Our hearts go out to the immediate family and his Hospital family.

RIH Dr. Pontasch. You always took such good care of my accident prone son and you were there for me during my medical issues. You will forever be remembered for your compassion and the quality care you provided for your patients. You will be missed dearly. It was an honor knowing you.
