Richard Warren Goodrum

GOODRUM, Richard Warren, age 79, of Midlothian, passed away November 3, 2007. Born March 25, 1928 to the late John Warren and Inez Culp Goodrum in West Palm Beach, Florida. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Lee Goodrum; daughter, Karen G. Ledford and husband, Dick of Atlanta, Ga.; son, Richard L. Goodrum and wife, Vicky of Phoenix, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Russ, Anna, Sarah, Lee, and Jon. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Margaret S. Goodrum of Warrenton, Va.; brother-in-law, Thomas E. Lee Jr. and wife, Ruth of Tequesta, Fla.; sister-in-law, Inez L. Wells and husband, Robert of San Mateo, Calif.; and cousin, Jack Gooding of West Palm Beach, Fla. Richard attended the University of Florida, where he received a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Degree. He served in the Marine Corp and U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War. He also had a 40 year career with Ethyl Corporation and Tredegar Corporation. Richard was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was generous and kind and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.
