Erik Bohling, cherished husband, father and grandfather, died early Wednesday morning at Flagler Hospital in Palm Coast, FL after a short battle with cancer. We will all carry his memory in our hearts forever.

He was 77 years young. He was born in Närpes, Finland 8/20/1934 and then moved to NY in 1952, where he met and married the love of his life in 1962 and after a few years they moved to Congers, NY to raise their amazing family. They were happily together over 50 years.

He served in the US Army from 1954 to 1956. He was a business owner and a member of the Carpenters Union. He retired in 2002 and moved to Palm Coast, FL. He was an avid golfer and someone who treasured time with his family.

Surviving are his adoring wife Solveig; two incredible sons and daughters-in-law, Glenn & Joanne Bohling, Boxboro, MA and Cliff & Lori Bohling, West Windsor, NJ and his wonderful daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth & David O'Neil of Parker, CO. He is also survived by 5 precious granddaughters who lit up his life, Isabelle, Kaley, Annika, Arielle and Amelia, and his granddog Roxie. He is predeceased by his brother, Sven Bohling and sister Elvi Goslyn, and survived by sister Anita Rock living in Fair Oaks, CA.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations can be made in his loving memory to American Cancer Society. Condolences to the family may be sent to cliff.bohling@theclkgroup.com.
