Erik Dierks

Dear Erik,

To say you are a special person doesn't begun to express the difference you have made in the world. In so many ways. I was one of the lucky ones because I worked for you and we had a great friendship too. I learnt so much from you. And boy did we ever laugh ourselves silly as colleagues and friends too. Remember our meeting the day the day after the Inspiration Gala..
We must have laughed for a good hour....wow was i everlucky to work for you and call you my friend. You truly have a gift for being there for others, Erik and so many of us in Vancouver experienced that. So much I could say and share about you, Erik. But I know the most important thing of all for you in your life was your love for daughters, Erik. Your love for your girls and your pride in them is endless. And rightfully so. I know being their Dad has been the single most important accomplishment for you in your life. I wish you peace now, always and forever. Chris

I am still in shock that this wonderful human being no longer walks amongst us. I knew Erik from working at the VSO while he was there. He was such a generous person in so many ways, but especially in the time he took to really listen when you spoke to him. He made the world a better place by just being. My condolences to his family.
