Erin L. Manning

Erin Lee Manning, 30, of Bridgewater, passed away peacefully while embraced in her fathers loving arms and her mother snuggled tightly by her side on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at Tufts Medical Center, after a lifelong courageous battle with cystic fibrosis. Born October 17, 1986, in Stoughton, she was the loving daughter of James Michael Manning and Kristine Ann (Beal) Manning. Erin lived in Brockton until moving to Bridgewater in 1997 where she attended the Reads Collaborative Program at Bridgewater-Raynham High School. Erin attended Mater Dei Adult Program in Brockton before becoming ill October 7, just 10 days prior to her 30th birthday. She enjoyed traveling, riding on trains, recreational vehicles and going for ice cream in her 1972 Oldsmobile 442 W-30 4 speed muscle car with her family. She loved musicals, especially Annie, Frozen, Wizard of Oz, and Little Mermaid. She also enjoyed listening to music on her IPod. She is survived by her loving parents, James M. Manning and Kristine A. (Beal) Manning of Bridgewater; her grandparents, Frances (Rumley) Hooper and her husband Kenneth Hooper of Milton and Carolyn (Leonard) Parkinson of Bridgewater; her best friend on the planet, Miss Madison Keough; she is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was the granddaughter of the late William McNutt and Kenneth H. Beal. The family would like to thank her Cystic Fibrosis Pulmonary Care doctor, Dr. Scott Schroeder for the years of service in caring for Erin as well as the doctors, respiratory therapists, nurses and technicians of the Pratt 7 MICU Team at Tufts Medical center for all their love, support and care provided to Erin from her first admission on October 8 to her final breath on January 10. Her father James especially wishes to thank the MICU Team for allowing him to participate in her care and to remain at Erins bedside 24/7 the entire duration of her admission. Additional thanks to Allison ORourke who faithfully performed chest percussion therapy on Erin on a daily basis and Dr. Michael Ward, Erins chiropractor who provided Erin with loving adjustments to promote her posture for breathing easier and life in general; and to Bob Turpin and Eric Mills and Jim Nolan who built, improved upon and maintained Erins home for her comfort, well-being and happiness.
