What a neat lady! A wonderful servant of our Lord Jesus Christ. She could play the piano and the fact that she played for the love of Jesus makes it even more special. I was privileged to have been ministered to at First Baptist Church of Greenwood as a teenager with this dear lady playing the piano. Heaven's choir just got a lot better!

Dear Family of Erma - She was a precious friend to our family - played for Carl's mother's funeral so beautifully and helped me sort out all the dress materials she left unsewed - we had many good days. She has arrived where she can reunite with loved ones and play any piano she wants. We Love You.

Just read about Erma this Saturday evening. So enjoyed hearing her play for quartet of Troy Dale, Mark, John, and Nancy. Would loved to have heard them sing Turn Your Radio On again. Special lady. Sorry to miss the funeral service.

Bob, Dana, and Jeanette, I am so sorry for your loss. Erma adopted me when I came to Greenwood as a 22 year old Extension agent so that I would not be so home sick since my family was 6 hours away. I remember so many good times, including the time my young family came to the farm to cut our very first live Christmas tree. Erma was so talented and loving. I loved her and will miss her. I did not know about her passing in time to make it to her service and am so sorry that I was not there. I will keep you all in my prayers. Brenda Simmons Vick

Dana and Jeanette, I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother was a woman of many talents. I became acquainted with her as a young woman when I worked at the Extension office. We crafted and sewed together. She taught me many things. I did not know about her death until around 11 am today. Too late to go to her service. I loved her. Judy Selkirk

What great memories I have of Erma, she was like my second mom growing up. There were not many days I was not at her home, Jeanette and I baking or all the kids in the neighborhood in the front yard playing games. What fun we had. She provided a warm home for all and her music was always so comforting. Erma, you are in God's hands as you lived your life that way. Thank you for touching my heart.

I will always remember begging her to play the piano for me and she usually did and did it wonderfully. I wanted to play just like her. She will be missed.

Erma was a great role model, friend and neighbor. I have many great memories from when we all lived on Spradling Avenue. She will truly be missed by all who new her.
