Ernest Bacon Obituary
He was born in Riceboro to the late William and Mary Wilson-Bacon. He was a self trained mechanic on commercial trucks and tractors and he owned his own logging business. He was also well-known by his nickname "BigTime".
He was baptized at an early age and a member of First Zion Baptist Church.
He was married to the late Mrs. Doretha Thomas-Bacon and two sons preceded him in death, Mr. Frank Bacon and Mr. Harold Bacon.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving, devoted daughter, Margaret Bacon; two sons, George (Lorene) Bacon and Irvin Jackson; eight grandchildren, Calvin Bacon, Georgia Holliday, Tyrone (Umeka) Bacon, Clinton Bacon, KaTrina Bacon, Dexter Anderson, Celeste Buckner and Irvin Jackson Jr.; four great-grandchildren, Andre' Holliday, Tia Bacon, Adara Bacon and Keldon Winn-Young; three special sons: Mr. Chris Howard, Mr. Charlie Jones and Mr. Carlos Robinson; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be form 1-5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at Dorchester Funeral Home in Midway.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at First Zion Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Frederick McIver will officiate.
Interment will be in First Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Dorchester Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
