Ernest H. Barker Ernest H. Barker, born June 30, 1934, went to be with the Lord Sept. 15, 2010, after an extended illness. He was born in Jonesville, Va., the son of the late Coy Barker and Eurle Lee Barker of Benhams, Va. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was of the Baptist faith. he was a retired toolmaker of GM in Marion, Ind. He was a paid up for life member of VFW, AMVETS and the American Legion. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Parks, Marion, Ind., Mary Clark of Bristol Tennessee, and Alberta Elizabeth Gross, of Bristol Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Baker of the home; a daughter, Marsha K. Liston and husband, Ron Liston of Marion, Ind.; a son, Gary H. Barker of Marion, Ind.; sisters, Jewel Brooks and husband George Brooks, Mt. Rossi, Va., Bernice Campbell and husband Jim Campbell of Bristol Virginia, Clara Sisk of Baltimore and Martha Johnson of Annapolis, Md.; brothers, Ewing Barker and wife Betty Barker of Meadowview, Va., Bascom Barker and wife, Mary Barker of Bristol Tennessee. Funeral services are pending and will be at Indiana Northern VA Cemetery with military honors b eing conducted. He made a full body donation to ETSU, James H. Quillen College of Medicine Anatomical Gift Program. He was a great husband, father and friend and will be missed by all.
