Ernest B. Elliott, 76, of Amarillo passed away Monday, December 26, 2022. The family will host a memorial service Saturday at 1 pm at 1003 Inman Dr. 79104. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel.
Ernest was born in Beaver Falls, Pa. on April 1, 1946 to Neal and Zella Elliott. He enlisted in the United States Airforce in 1964, retiring in 1970. after retiring the Airforce, Ernest went to Bell Helicopter. He worked on the railroad for 35 years as a conductor. He had a passion for working on cars and loved going to the casino.
Ernest met the love of his life Paula, while working at the railroad. They married in 1975.
Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Judy Tanchuk, three brothers, Timmy Elliott, Ricky Elliott, and Tarry Elliott, half-brother Russell Elliott, two half-sisters: Marie and Flora.
Those left to cherish are his wife of 47 years, Paula Elliott, and three daughters: Michelle Scott and her husband Brian, Michele Upchurch and her husband Gary, and Tammie Martinez and her husband Dominic, two sons: Bryan Teter and his wife Lea, and Kit Elliott and his husband Jeff Gardner, 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, two sisters: Beatrice Bingle, and Nancy Baker, four brothers: Ronnie, Randy, Perry, and Kirby Elliott, nephew, Danny Walls, and niece, Susan Tyson and many more nieces and nephews.
