Ernest Heller Obituary
Ernest R. Heller went home to be with his Lord and Savior January 16, 2018. He was born to Rudolph and Natalie (Kirsch) Heller on January 27, 1929.
Ernie served in the US Navy during the Korean War and was a Tool and Die Maker, retiring in 1996 from Die Cast Tool. He was as a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Alice (Soldner); daughters, Lisa (Jim) Janowiecki, Brenda (Tom) Wodarski, Joni (Doug) Tolles; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Mcarthur, Janell Heller, Todd Janowiecki, Alicia McCaffrey; great-grandchildren, Loki, Chase and Caroline Rose; sister, Ann Westin. Also surviving are several beloved sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home, 3453 Heatherdowns on Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 2-8 p.m. where services will be held on Friday January 19, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Korean War Veterans Association Services Thursday evening. Interment to take place in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family suggests Memorial to the Cherry Street Mission, or WLMB. Please view and sign Ernie's condolence page at:

Sorry to hear about his passing. He was a great guy and will be missed by everyone. We will miss him. I remember many times going to Meijer and he was there having his coffee and he always love talking to us and never forgot who we were.

We will always remember Ernie and the great talks we had with him at the reunions and at the house on Heatherdowns. It was something we looked forward too every year. Ernie was one of the good guys on this earth!! It was our honor to know him. We hadn't seen him in a few years,but we will never forget him. Please except our condolences.
