We had so many great times playing volleyball with Ernie and Judith and socializing afterwards. The after-game hilarity really bonded the whole group.
We also spent many enjoyable evenings with Judith and Ernie when they hosted amazing slide shows of their intrepid travels followed by chocolate cake and ice cream. Judith and Ernie had one of those enviable relationships from the ordinary to the adventurous.
Ernie was a very humble, unassuming guy, never revealing his incredible efforts and leadership in so many important institutions, benefiting many today. He will be sincerely missed.

My dad always loved walking home from the university with him and would regale us with stories of his wicked sense of humour and jokes exchanged. My deepest condolences on the loss of a good person in this world.

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Holmes death. I remember so many pleasant times visiting Bill, his siblings and their parents. Mr and Mrs Homes were always so kind and welcoming.
