I am very saddened to learn of your Dad’s passing. I have many fond memories of Ernest including the thoughtful and genuine support and leadership he provided through so many Scouting adventures growing up and how he always would greet you with a smile and friendly conversation every time I would get the chance to visit your family farm. He will always represent in my mind strength of community and family. Our thoughts and sympathies are with you and your families during this time.

My sincere sympathy goes out to you Jayne and to Leo and Georgette. I was away in Calgary and did not hear about Ernie's passing until I got home on Wednesday, the day of the funeral. I have many good memories of years of dancing with him. He always greeted us with his catching smile.
