I DID'NT KNOW MR.LUTTRELL BUT HIS FAMILY IS IN MY PRAYERS. IT IS A SHAME THAT AN INNOCENT LIFE WAS TAKEN AWAY ON SUCH A TRAGIC.

I CAN REMEMBER HAS A YOUNG GIRL WATCHING THEM BUILD THAT HOUSE AND AFTER SEEN HIM SETTING THERE ON THAT PORCH I WILL ALWAYS TALK ABOUT THAT HOUSE BECAUSE OF HOW MR,LUTTRELL KEPT THE GROUNDS.HAS FAR BACK HAS I CAN REMEMBER HIM HE HAS ALWAYS HAD A SMILE ON HIS FACE. I GREW UP IN FOUR FORKS AND I HAD TO COME THAT WAY TO GO TO WALNUT HILL ARE TO SHREVEPORT IT WILL NOT BE THE SAME SORRY FOR YOUR FAMILY'S LOST MAY HE REST IN PEACE.

We will always miss you and remember playing EUNO, camping, skiing, all the 50 years we were friends, our kids have very fond memories that will last a lifetime. Your smiles and laughter will be missed along with your love and friendship,God has a purpose for all things he will help us understand why.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel the love and comfort of GOD and the love and support of family and friends. My heart goes out to you at this time and in the days ahead.

AFTER SEEING THE CURRANT PICTURE YA'LL HAVE OF MR. ERNEST I CAN NOW SAY I TRUELY DID KNOW HIM. HE WOULD COME INTO THE STORE I WORKED IN ALMOST DAILY. WITH A BIG OLE SMILE, A GREAT STORY, AND A TON OF COMPLIMENTS. MR LUTTRELL WILL BE DEEPLY MISSED. I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH POSITIVE THINGS ABOUT HIM THAT IM SURE YOU ALL DONT ALREADY KNOW. I never will forget the racoon that you had when I was a child, and you let me feed it by hand. You were a good friend to my parents, and a good human being. You will be missed by your friends and be remimbered as a man who could come up with more ways of doing something, than anyone that they knew. See you in heaven.

The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Ernest Luttrell our “Brother-in-Arms”. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Ernest. And to Ernest it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country during the Korean War while serving in the U.S. Army. Ernest, we bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at Ease. Rest in Peace.
