Ernest Mahaffey Obituary
He was born on May 10, 1930, in Williamsport, Pa.,. to William and Sarah Mahaffey.
He had been a resident of Santa Rosa Beach for 25 years, moving from Ormond, Fla. He was Baptist by faith.
Mr. Mahaffey was predeceased in death by his father and mother, and by his wife, Roberta Ann Mahaffey of Santa Rosa Beach.
He is survived by his two sons, Bruce Allen Mahaffey of Fountain, Fla., and Ronald Lee Mahaffey of Panama City; one daughter, Linda Rae Preston of Davis, Calif.; three brothers, Robert Mahaffey, Raymond Mahaffey and Clifford Mahaffey, all of Williamsport, Pa.; five sisters, Diane Plank, Peggy Dawes, Edna Confer, Carol Dawes and Helen Thatcher, all of Williamsport; and by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. May 4 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home in Freeport.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. May 4 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home, with Bishop Jack Mott officiating. Memorialization will be by cremation.
Floral arrangements are being accepted.
Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
