I remebered my uncle as Uncle Ernie (my dads little brother). Uncle Ernie was a great person, such as his father Grampa Ernie. I remember as a child going to the greatest parties with his baseball croonies. My father Johnny Richina, was raised by Grampa Ernie. My father was the football coach of Oakland Dynamites Pop Warner Football and managed Babe Ruth Leagues. Between the two they were great leaders. The Fazio family was the best, funny as all heck..This was the sports side of my family and I appreciate them for their diligence in not only helping our communities, but showing us what discipline and hard work is all about. Blessings to the Fazio, Gioletti and Richina families. Maybe someday we can all meet together outside of our family funerals. Blessings Uncle Ernie. Big Hitter!

When I was 14 years old, I played with Ernie Fazio during the 1963-64 Alameda Winter League. Mr. Fazio was kind, supportive and an inspiration. Rest in Peace.

Hello Kathy, It was so sad for me to hear that Ernie passed away on December 1. I experienced the loss of a love one like you are experiencing now. It was hard at first to realize that Karen moved in to a better less painful life when she passed away in 2010. I know it's hard to understand and believe that Ernie is in a much better place for all eternity. My deepest condolences to your entire family. Love Leonard Vinci

We in Kansas City mourn the loss of Ernie Fazio but celebrate in the life that he lived. He is remembered for his time here with the Kansas City Athletics. May God provide peace and strength to your family. You will always be remembered.--Mark Moore, Kansas City Baseball Historical Society.
