Ervin Vrazel Obituary
ERVIN F. VRAZEL
He was the founder of Vrazel Insurance and Real Estate and partner of Professional Insurance Agents, Inc., and he was active with the firm for 50 years. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the Knights of St. Gregory, a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus, a charter member of the Serra Club of Victoria, past member of the Building Board of the Victoria Diocese, Victoria Rotary Club, past board member of St. Joseph High School, Victoria Board of Realtors and the Independent Insurance Agents of Victoria. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gladys Vrazel of Victoria; son, Doug Vrazel and wife Patty of Victoria; daughter, Diane Pappas and husband Tom of Austin; grandchildren, Ensign Patrick Vrazel, USN of Pensacola, Fla., and Jackie Vrazel of Victoria; and step-grandchildren, Josh Pappas of California, Aaron Pappas of Denton and Destini Martin of South Carolina. Also surviving are four step-greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lillian Friesenhahn, Mattie Veselka, and Violet Stluka.
A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today at Holy Family Catholic Church. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Most Rev. David E. Fellhauer and the Rev. Greg Korenek officiating. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Mausoleum. Military honors will be under the auspices of Victoria County Veterans Council.
Pallbearers include Ensign Patrick Vrazel, David Veselka, Robert Stluka, Thomas Stulka, Victor Stary and Clayton Kowis.
Honorary pallbearers include Don Krueger, John Brimberry, Dan Hiller, Troy Summerlin, E.R. Rode and all former P.I.A. and Hunting Partners.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph High School or Nazareth Academy.
Colonial Funeral Home, 1801 E. Red River, Victoria is in charge of arrangements.

Vrazel Family,
