LEWIS, Esmond P. (Mike) -- Age 53, passed away on August 15, 2003, at his home in San Jose, CA. He was born June 17, 1950 in Anniston, Alabama and lived in San Jose for over 35 years. He worked in the computer industry for over 20 years. He spent the last 10 years with Apple Computer as a software engineer. He thrived on his work and the creative environment that enabled him to achieve his dream of combining his love of computers with his career, yet he always managed to make time for those close to him. His kindness and soft-spoken nature enriched the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him. He will always be remembered for his strength and courage through all the challenges he faced in his lifetime, He is survived by his mother, Louise H. Lewis of Seaside, CA; his father Obadiah Lewis Sr., of Alabama, sister, Phyllis M. Lewis of Maryland, brother, Obadiah M. Lewis Jr., of San Jose, a special niece, Adrianne M. Lewis of Maryland, and his longtime girlfriend, Lee Space of San Jose, CA. He leaves a host of aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends. We will always love you. God Bless You. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

I'm so sorry to hear about Esmond. We worked together on many projects at Apple and he was always kind and caring.

Esmond will be greatly missed. I enjoyed working with him and sharing many wonderful stories about family and friends. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.
