I had the pleasure of helping Estella with the preparation and clean up of communion. She recruited me to help with communion and occasionally at the church bazaars when she was short handed. She was so proud of her grand and great grandchildren. Our times together were of Estellas stories about them. She had a wonderful sense of humor and delightful laugh. She had always teased she would like to put a few uncooked spaghetti noodles in the communion loaf. Aaron, our associate pastor at the time, was relieved we didnt. When I attended church, I would look over and see Estella with Nancy. I didnt see her this Christmas Eve, but I know she was there. Estellas spirit is shining brighter than any jewelry she sorted.

Estella & my daughter Britt & I shared a pew on many Sundays, we gaged the length of our friendship from the time Britt was shorter than Estella till the time Britt was taller than me! Friends it seems forever. She was an excellent cook, roasting chicken for 80 at our church dinner! She had a wonderful life sharing & caring for others. She has served this world well. I will think of her often. Much love to all the family, Kathy Wallace Smith
