GRANITEVILLE, S.C.- Entered into rest Monday, March 15, 2004, Mr. William A. Ladd of Graniteville, S.C., beloved husband of Jean Stanberry Ladd and son of the late William M. Ladd and the late Lillie Padgett Ladd. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sisters, Frances Craft and Evelyn Nixon, both of Anderson, S.C.; stepchildren, Rev. Dr. Larry Brown of Evans, Georgia, Mike Brown of Martinez, Georgia, William Brown of Augusta, Georgia, Pamela Brooks of Evans, Georgia, G. L. Williams, Milton Williams and Ronald Williams all of Graniteville, S.C., Shelby Boone of Hernersonville, N.C., Sheila Thomas of Brandford, Florida, Sherry Fields of Graniteville, S.C. and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Ladd was born in Anderson, S.C. but has been a resident of Aiken County for over thirty-four years. He was retired from the U.S. Marines. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church in North Augusta, S.C. The funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 18, 2004 at 11 a.m. in Victory Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Larry Brown officiating. The interment will follow in Westview Cemetery in Augusta, Georgia with full military honors. The family will receive friends at the residence at 504 Rainbow Falls Rd., Graniteville, S.C. or tonight, Wednesday, March 17 at Napier Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorials may be made to Victory Baptist Church, 620 Martintowne Rd. W., North Augusta, S.C. 29841. Mr. Ladd will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Graniteville, S.C. 29829.
