Mrs. Hall passed way Wednesday, March 25, 2015, in Jacksonville.

Born Sept. 26, 1927, in Mineola, she was the first child of James and Goldie Wilkinson. She was raised by a large extended family from the hills of Tennessee, who migrated to Texas, the land of milk and honey, in hopes of a better life. They were a musically gifted Scot-Irish family, playing banjo, fiddle, mandolin and guitar.

Estelle worked as a telephone operator in Jacksonville and Houston, laying the groundwork for a lifelong joy of telephone conversation. Her second love was British comedies.

She attended nursing in later life and had a second career as a private duty nurse. She worked many years for the Austin family in Frankston .After retiring she continued to practice medicine and gave sound medical advice to anyone in need.

She was preceded in death by husband, Kenneth; son-in-law, David; and sisters, Raydean Waites and Bobby Jean.

Survivors include daughters, Kathy and Fred Weber, Beckie and Paul Pavletich and Debbie Hall; grandchildren, Nick, Corey, Ashlee and Chad Gieszl, Jennifer, Gretchen and Dusty Shank; sister and brother-in-law, Jo Marie and Kenneth Lewis; and several nieces and a nephew.

Bringing daily joy to her by phone were good friends, Ruby Pugh, Sarah Vinson Olson and Alice Worley.

A special thank you to Heart to Heart Hospice for their guidance and care. To Courtney Powell Holman, we will be forever greatful.
