ESTELLE KRIEGER
AGE: 85 EAST BRUNSWICK
Estelle Krieger, of East Brunswick, died Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was 85. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she resided in East Paterson before moving to East Brunswick 45 years ago. Mrs. Krieger was a homemaker. She was a member of the East Brunswick Jewish Center, East Brunswick, where she played an integral part for many years in the Annual Rummage Sale & Bazaar and was known as the "Shmatta" Lady.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Lois Krieger, in 2009. Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Sidney Krieger; son, Dr. Lawrence Krieger and his wffe Jeannette of Manlius, N.Y.; daughter, Karen Krieger of Spring, Texas; sister, Helene Hurwitz of Florida; brother-in-law, Leo Krieger of East Brunswick; and a granddaughter, Katie.
Funeral services will be held at 11:45 a.m. Friday, July 30 at The East Brunswick Jewish Center, 570 Ryders Lane, East Brunswick, under the direction of Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, Cranbury Road at Evergreen Blvd., East Brunswick. Interment will follow in Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge. Memorial contributions may be made to Lois Lynne Krieger Irrevocable Trust, c/o Dan Farrell, 246 Fulpon St., Philadelphia, PA 19147; Elijah's Promise, 18 Neilson St., New Brunswick, NJ 08901; or East Brunswick Rescue Squad, 346 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, NJ 08816.
