Joan, Jill and Tom,
My Dad commissioned your mother to paint a picture of his navy plane squadron's emblem (a flying wolf on a log)onto an antique large crosscut saw. He donated the artwork to the "Confederate Air Force," a veterans' group, to display on the wall of their national headquarters. It now is being enjoyed by many people, and is a fitting permanent tribute to our veterans and to our parents who have passed on.

I so enjoyed spending time with her and the family. She was one I could always go to with questions, support and love. When I visited as I grew older I was surprised at her painting talent. She really blossomed with that. Sending our love and sympathies.
