Esther Ginsberg Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 25, 2018.
Esther Sarah Ginsberg, 75 years old of Scarborough Maine passed away on September 25th, 2018.

She was born Esther Sarah Wandel in the Bronx NY on September 29th 1942.

Esther was a graduate of Christopher Columbus High School and The University of Tennessee.
After a long career as a lab technician in Tennessee and Connecticut, Esther moved to Maine in semi-retirement.

Esther's love and extensive knowledge of animals (especially birds) led her to volunteer countless hours at the Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport Connecticut and the Maine Animal Park in Gray, Maine. Esther loved to share her time helping people. She opened up her home to teach English and interviewing skills to those trying to make their way in the local community.

Esther will be missed by many. She will certainly be missed by her husband Arthur Ginsberg of Scarborough Maine, her daughter and son in-law Jessica and Corey Seigel of Connecticut, son and daughter in-law Adam and Hildy Ginsberg of Yarmouth Maine. Esther also leaves behind her 4 treasured grand children Rachel, Hannah, Mia and Henry.

Graveside service will take place on Sunday September 30th at 10:30am at Temple Beth El Memorial Park, Johnson Rd, Portland. Services are being handled by Jones, Rich & Barnes Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St. Portland ME.
