Esther Pfender Obituary
She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Melvin, Chester, Oliver, Oscar, and Charles.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin Gary Pfender, of 58 years; son, Shawn with wife, Colette in O'fallon, MO; daughter, Michelle Drake with husband, Alan in Martinsville, IN; sister, Martha Baggett with husband, Rob in Evansville, IN; brothers, James Rae with wife, Kathy in Sierra Vista, AZ and Paul in Loudon, TN.
Esther retired November 2009 from Community Hospital South Indianapolis following a stroke. Esther mostly enjoyed gatherings with family playing euchre with friends, traveling and working in her flower garden.
Per her request, there will be no services.
Arrangements have been entrusted to G. H. Herrmann Funeral Home and Cremation Center at The Gardens of Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135, Greenwood.
