Obituary:

Esther Marie Scott, born Esther Marie Rolf on September 12, 1928, in Shenandoah, Iowa, peacefully passed away on April 17, 2024, in Oak Brook, Illinois, at the age of 95. She was the beloved wife of Harold (Scotty) Scott, who preceded her in death.

I knew her as Mrs. Scott, the mother of my dear friend, her son, Greg. My memory is exactly as this obituary states. She was full of kindness, grace, and unwavering devotion to her family. I always perked up when I saw her and greatly enjoyed talking with her and Mr. Scott over many decades of friendship with their son. The measure of a life can be taken by what is left behind. Greg is an amazing, gifted, and loving man. I learn so much from him and treasure the privilege to be his friend. I will miss Mrs. S, but her future is just beginning in the presence of her Loving Savior. And reunited with her wonderful husband.
