ESTHER LOUISE WHEELER STEWART

Esther Stewart, 92, passed away peacefully on Mon., Aug. 15, in West Palm Beach, FL, with her grandson, Adam, by her side. She was born in Hartland, ME, on Mar. 6, 1930, the daughter of Edward & Mildred Wheeler who passed before her. She worked for many years, retiring as a "Floor Girl" at New Balance Athleticsin Skowhegan. Esther's husband, Ted Stewart, passed before her on June 26, 2012, at the age of 85. She moved to Florida in 2012 to live with her daughter, Rachael. Her youngest daughter, Kathy Kilkenny, passed at her home in Madison ME, just 8 days prior to Esther's passing, on Sun., Aug. 7. Esther is survived by her brother, Louis & wife Genny Wheeler, of Skowhegan, and their 3 children, Criss Frith of Anson, Lisa McGuire of Skowhegan & Louie Wheeler of Cornville. She's also survived by her eldest daughter, Rachael & husband Tom Streifel & Esther's grandson, Adam Streifel, all of West Palm Beach, FL. Arrangements are under the care of Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, Skowhegan. She will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery, North Ave., Skowhegan, on Sat., Oct. 8, 2022 at 1pm. All are welcome to attend. Father Jim Nadeau, Pastor of Christ the King Parish, will preside. Donations may be made to your favorite charity.
