Ethel M. Haugen, 82, Grand Forks, ND, died Tuesday, February 24, 2004 in Valley Memorial Home Woodside Village, Grand Forks.
Ethel Mae Messner was born August 15, 1921 near Pekin, ND the daughter of Martin and Nettie (Hensrud) Messner. She was raised and educated at Pekin. She married Victor Ensrud on February 13, 1941 in Devils Lake, ND. They lived and farmed near Pekin before moving to Grand Forks in 1948. Ethel worked as a cook in several restaurants in Grand Forks including, The American Legion, TheVFW and the Dakota Hotel. She married Earl Haugen on September 4, 1970. Survivors include: Daughters: Yvonne (Thomas) Kinney, Elmira, NY; Charlotte (Darrell) Gilbertson, Grand Forks, ND. Son: Scott (Susie) Ensrud, Kankakee, IL. Step Children: Denise (Bill) Larson, Thief River Falls, MN; Duane Haugen, Thief River Falls, MN. Grandchildren: Kimberly Perry, Steven Kinney, Brett Kinney, Jade Gilbertson, Tifani Gilbertson, Amber Ensrud, Kelsey Ensrud, Lacey Ensrud. 8 Great Grandchildren Sisters: Helen Aanenson, Pekin, ND; Shirley (Bernie) Wavra, Lisle, IL; Deanna Devereaux, Tacoma, WA. Brothers: Norris (Char) Messner, McVille, ND; John (Margie) Messner, Pekin, ND; Roger (Rhoda) Messner, Pekin, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents and by brothers, Leonard and Jerome and a sister Mercedes Klefstad. Funeral Services: Will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday in Sharon Lutheran Church of Grand Forks. Visitation: Will be for the hour before the service in the church. Arrangements are with Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks.

I'm sorry I never posted anything earlier but I just found out today that your mom died in 2004 this is Margo Allard I worked with her at the VFW her Joe Lepinski was manager and then after that Lee Hartje was manager and I was assistant manager for both I really loved her she was such a nice lady and she loved my son Jesse she used to babysit him once in awhile if I had something to do she'd say well just bring him by and they had the dog he really liked her dog I have so many good memories of her. I know she is looking down on all of us right now and wishing us all the good in the world she can.
