Dear Sharon, Marty, Ron Dode, Henchell and Banks families, It is so hard to believe that she is gone. Aunt Bubbles was someone we thought we would have with us forever. Everyone was touched by her love and kindness. We heard so many good words about her at the service, but there are no words that will ever ease our loss. Now, we will have to cherish our memories of this very special person who loved all of us and who was loved by all. I can't imagine life without her, but life will and must go on. May God Bless all who are mourning her and may we be at peace in knowing she is with her heavenly family now, smiling down upon us. My sincerest and deepest sympathy to all. Peace be with you.

My Aunt Bubs was one of the sweetest and most fun aunts I had. I will never forget the "wax paper", "the hamburger out the window" or the "spook shows." I will greatly miss her and never forget her. All my love , Carol Banks Mounir

Dear Sharon and family,
I was so sorry to hear of Aunt Bubs passing! I always, truly, believed that she would just live on forever and ever! I honestly did!
Until I looked up her guest book I realized that I had never, ever known her true first name, "Ethel." To me she was and always will be Aunt Bubs. She was truly named correctly as "Bubbles" because of how bubbly and sweet she really was.
I remember loving to be near her and with her because she reminded me so much of my own sweet, precious "granny," (Aunt Reenie). I used to think of them as twins; they were so alike, both loving and adoring their families, both so kind, so gentle, so thoughtful, and both so tiny it just made you love them even more!!
Aunt Bubs was a big part of my childhood, along with you too Sharon. I remember as if it were only yesterday. It's a good warm, family love-feeling, that still feels good just thinking about it.
Just knowing she is not here with us any more saddens me but I am glad she is home at last, safe and sound. For at this very minute, she is in heaven with our God being loved and welcomed home by all who loved and adored her who went before her; your dad (who was always my most favorite uncle), most of her family who she has not seen in years, and I am sure my grandmother and my sister are so happy she is home at last with them!
I remember my dad always telling me stories of my aunts and uncles way back when he was young and he too always felt the same way I did about Aunt Bubs.
She was a very special person. The world just got a little sadder and a little darker because of her passing.
But please remember this, when things get tough, and they will, remember ONLY that she is up in heaven with our GOD and now knows a peace, a love and a contentment that she has never ever known before. She is truly happy to be home and she is in God's safe keeping until we get to go home too.
Whenever I miss Ope I always read and re-read this poem someone wrote;
Love Does Not Die
Now that I am gone, remember me with smiles and laughter. And when you need me, put your arms around anyone and give them what you need to give to me. Look for me in the people I've known or helped in some special way. Let me live in your heart as well as your mind.
Love does not die, people do.
So, when all that's left of me is love, give me away as best you can.
