ROXIE KENT
COLUMBUS-Roxie Mae Kent, 95, of Columbus, formerly of Lucasville, died Saturday, November 14, 2015 at her residence.
She was born February 12, 1920 in Carter County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Bruce and Bertha Howard Colley.
Roxie was a homemaker, former member of Scioto Baptist Church, and a former member of the Scioto Valley Grange.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna Marie (Joe) Burba of Hastings, Fla., and Sue Ellen (Red) Martin of Gahanna; one son, Carl David (Barbara) Kent of Wilmington; seven grandchildren, Tonya Burba Goff, Jeanie Burba Dowell, Christonia (Mike) Fouch, Natasha Kent, Nicholas Kent, Dan (Tryna) Martin, Kathleen Martin and fiancé Dan Byrnes; six great grandchildren, Justin Claxton, Andrew Dowell, Reese Martin, Tiffani Goff, Taylor Dowell, Haley Fouch; one brother Clyde B. Colley of Linden, California; one sister-in-law, Betty Merritt of Lucasville.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Hugh Kent, September 6, 1995; seven brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon, Friday, November 20, 2015, at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville with Phil Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Lucasville Cemetery. Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and an hour before the funeral Friday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SOMC Cancer Center, SOMC Hospice, or charity of choice.

What a beautiful soul and what a beautiful life she lived...I loved this woman with all my heart. She taught me many things and always made me laugh...rest well my sweet Aunt Roxie.
