Ethel Wiggins Jasper

Mrs. Ethel Wiggins Jasper, 86, native of Gadsden County, died Tuesday, July 5th, Select Specialty Hospital, Tallahassee; the daughter of the late Remo and Minnie Ola Brooks Wiggins. She attended the public schools of Gadsden County, earned a Master's degree from Florida A & M University, employed by the Gadsden County School Board for 37 years as a teacher at Chattahoochee Elementary, was joined in holy matrimony to Edward Jasper for 48 years, blessed with a daughter, who preceded her in death. She was a devoted member of the Friendship AME Church, Chattahoochee, where she was a stewardess and missionary, and a member of the Gadsden County Retired Teacher's Association. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 5 to 8 at the church, funeral services at the church, Wednesday, July 13th, 10:00 a.m., with burial in the Brooks Cemetery, Sycamore. Madry Memorial Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements, (850-875-2665).

Survivors: husband, Edward Jasper, son-in-law, Kenneth Fleming, granddaughters, Khara and Kalisa Fleming; stepchildren: James P. Mobley (Gwendolyn), Adrian Jasper, Dorothenia Simmons (Alvin); sisters-in-law, Rosa Lee Parson, Ella Mae Walker, Elorie Mae Bradley, Esther Parson; brother-in-law, Curtis Jasper (Rosie); devoted caregivers, Patrina Blue and Isis Brown; host of grand and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
