I was a dispatcher in Flagstaff

My parents were heartbroken when my Uncle OL and Aunt Ethel moved to distant Arizona. So far away from Detroit, it might as well have been another country. But, the distance didn't fray the bond between the brothers and sisters-in-law. After my father died, we thought we'd never see them again but we did. They made sure to keep in touch regularly, and that meant the world to my mother, and to me and my sisters and brother. They were our link to my father and his family. I'll always be grateful for their love and support.

My mother loved Ethel and looked forward to her visits. They'd sit, drinking sweet iced tea and talk and laugh for hours. I cherish the memories of the Arizona King family and will always hold my dear Aunt Ethel in my heart.

I will miss Ethel terribly. Thank you Sharon, Sandy and Wayne for trusting Sun Valley Lodge to care for your mom. In doing so, you became part of the Sun Valley Lodge family.
