Ethel I. Merical

ASHTABULA — Ethel Irene Merical, age 91, of Ashtabula, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009, at the Country Club Retirement Center.She was born July 26, 1918, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter of Raymond and Cora (Jepson) Beckwith.Ethel was a member of the U.S. Army during WWII. She was a homemaker and enjoyed time spent with family.She is survived by her daughter, Linda (David) Barbato of Ashtabula; son, Jerry Merical of Columbus, Ohio; two grandchildren, Wendy Vittori of Willoughby and Christopher Barbato of New Orleans, La.; three great-grandchildren, Lauren, Dominic and Alexander Vittori.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell; and sister, Dortha.A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
