Uncle Gene was an amazing man and I loved listening to him and my dad Allan talk about growing up in Eureka and at the cabin. My parents, the Huffs and Uncle Gene and Aunt Darlene were the best of friends and I can just see them all together now. RIP Uncle you will be missed by all

To Dessie, Richard, Gary, and Family,
I'm so sorry about the loss of your dad, I had the ultimate respect for him. It seems it wasn't too long ago I saw him at the Elks and we chatted as we always did. I started being your mom's hairdresser in the 1960's but didn't know Gene until he had to start bringing her into the shop when her illness progressed. He was so gentle and kind with her. She got to the point that I'd go to the house, then I really got to see his tender loving care, he couldn't do enough. When we'd see each other at the grocery store etc. we'd visit and he'd always wonder if he could be doing better by her. I assured him he was doing a wonderful job! I'm happy I got to know Gene and enjoyed seeing him now and then. I will miss our visits. My heartfelt sympathy to you all. Joan

So sorry for the loss of your Dad. It sounds like he had an amazing life.

Rest In Peace old friend.Our five years working the Passesger Vehicle Inspection program together will live in my memories. You kept all of in stitches with your stories. Now there are only two of us left.
