Eugene E Dobos

I was so sad to hear that Gene had passed. We worked together with so many other great people for a number of years at FUSD. Doing what was best for kids and staff was always first on our agenda. I'm so sorry to have missed his services but we were out of the country. My heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to Jeanie, Jackie and Julie we've truly lost a great educator and friend.

I was saddened to hear of Gene's passing. He was my friend and hero in so many ways. he was a a gift to all FUSD students. My thoughts and prayers are with Jeanie, Jackie and Julie

Gene and I were friends since 6th grade and both of us worked for the school district, also retiring the same year. He was an exceptionally wonderful person -- always kind and considerate, wise and helpful to all. He certainly will be missed. My husband Eric and I send condolences,love and prayers for Jeannie and his daughters.

Gene also hired me into the Fontana school district when I really wanted to work in Rialto. Thanks, Gene, it was a turning point in my life. God bless his family and friends.

I've always been grateful that Gene took a chance and hired me for my first teaching job straight out of college while I was still finishing my full teaching credential in what was, at the time, a new MAEd program which involved an internship teaching credential. Gene was always encouraging and supportive. I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching for the past 28 years.

Sorry to hear about Gene. We worked together thru all his various jobs at Fontana USD. He was a home grown Fontana boy! He was a great person, great leader and someone who had time to listen to a friend. He will always be in our hearts. Love and condolences to Jeannie and their daughters.

Gene was the man who hired me into FUSD. I'm grateful for the opportunity he gave me, the model he provided as a principal who cared for his staff and students, and for his friendship through the years. If there ever was a choice he had to make, he made it for the kids.

Oh gosh what an awesome man. He was my principal at Alder Jr. High for my 8th and 9th grade years. I remember telling him about the "end of year concert" they had a Fontana Jr. High (my 7th grade year) and he put together an end-of-year concert at Alder that year. Worked with him at the School District for many years. A true blessing. My condolences to the family.

I'm sorry to hear about Gene. He was on the interview panel when I was hired. Was a great person to work with. He was one of the persons who help me and I wouldn't be where I'm today. May God comfort his family.
