Gene, Your dad was a great friend to many, I remember the day you were born, the smile on your dad's face said it all.
He loved you so. He will be missed.

Jo, So sorry for your loss. Norman has told me some stories of Gene and I wished I could have met him. He was a hero to so many people.

Jo Anne- Tracy and I are deeply saddened at the passing of Gene. It was good to see him on Saturday and say our goodbyes. I will never forget his sense of humor, his quick wit, and the fact that we had so much in common. He truly was quite the character. We are also thankful he didn't suffer long. Love from us both.

No words can express how i felt when heard you had passed. You were a mentor to so many firefighters. No matter what was going on you always smiled. I regret not visiting you on friday. Please look in all your brothers. Be that beacon we need when the fire is getting hot and the hallways are getting nasty.
