EUGENE AND I WERE FRIENDS FROM A VERY YOUNG AGE AND CLASS MATES. HE WAS A GOOD FRIEND . AND TO MANY OTHERS WHO KNEW HIM . I REMEMBER HIM DIGGING IN THE SAW DUST AND FINING COINS FROM THE FIRST WORLD WAR CALLED BUN DIMES, THATS WHAT HIS DAD CALLED THEM. GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN. REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND.

We met Gene and his wife Irma through their daughter Karen, who married our son Bill, and is now our daughter as well. He was a great guy, and well loved by his friends and family, especialy by his grandchildren, Polly, Dylan, and Adrian. Dear Irma,Karen, Amanda and Rosalie and your families, I am so very sorry to hear of Gene's passing. One of my fondest memory of Gene was the day that Rosalie was born and he was so proud to have his little sister born on his birthday. Then the reunion in Vanceboro in 1994, the last time I saw Gene and Irma. I am sure he is looking down on us with Olive and Bunker by his side, and Althea nearby. Irma, I have known that you were a perfect couple from the time we all went to your dads place for a Christmas tree, so many years ago. My love and prayers are with all of you.
