EUGENE ANTHONY, 68
Gainesville - Eugene Anthony Green, 68, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at E.T. York in Gainesville, FL.
He was a graduate of Lincoln High School Class of 1964 and an avid Gator fan and reader of the Gainesville Sun newspaper. Eugene gave his life to Christ at an early age. He was preceded in death by parents, Mr. Harry Green, Jr. and Ms. Thelma Brown Gaines; sisters, Lillie Mae Ross, Lillian Gaines, Sabrina Green; and brothers, Leroy Davis and Harry Green III.
Eugene is survived by 3 brothers, Deacon Ernest Cook (Ethel), Willie Gaines, and Johnnie "Bubba" Gaines; 2 sisters, O'Leatha Green and Leola Gaines; 1 aunt, Adell Means; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, May 31, 2013, 10:30--11:30am at Chestnut Memorial Chapel, 18 NW 8th Avenue. The family will meet at Chestnut Chapel at 11:45am. Services will begin at 12:00pm followed by interment at Greater Liberty Hill United Methodist Cemetery.
Arrangements entrusted to Chestnut Services.

In Remberance of my Uncle Eugene: He had a smile that brighten your day showing all those pretty white teeth. Uncle loved his family and had a coversation for all. He bled Orange and Blue; A Gator Fan for Life. Everyday reading the Gainesville Sun Paper and stacking it up for the year. He knew Sports and could tell you the history/stats on any player professional; collegiate; High School. Will miss you and love you always. R.I.P.
