I send this message on behalf of the McAndrews family. You have been part of our life for generations. As hard as it is to bury us you bring us to life with your respectful beautiful tributes to those lost and we have had so many. You literally opened your door in the hardest times with your elegance faith grace and love. I know you are reunited with your beloved Joan and hopefully rejoining my Dad Joan Susie and those you so beautifully sent on their way ! God Speed! And thank you for being so special to our family! You have an amazing welcome committee in Heaven! God Speed!

So deeply sorry to hear of Gene's passing,such a great individual always upbeat and a pleasure to talk with, our thoughts and prayers are with the Harrison Family.

I am so sorry for your loss. Gene was a great man. His dad John was my grandmother's
relative. She was Maggie Harrison married to a Harrington. I don't know the relationship.
My prayers are with your family at this sad time. I am unable to attend the viewing or funeral due to bad health.

Gene was my mother's (Mary Clare McHale Musial) first cousin.

In December of 1967, I had a son. Little Billy was a sickly baby with a lot of health problems. I can't even begin to tell you how heartbreaking it is to lose a child. He was only 8 months old and died in August 1968. I couldn't even talk about it for years and it's still hard to this day!

I lived in VA at the time and Gene Harrison went to the airport to pick up his tiny body. He was laid in a beautiful, white casket at Harrison's Funeral Home. Gene gave him the royal treatment with flowers and many loving touches. He never sent me a bill. When I inquired about it, he said that it was taken care of.

I will always remember him as the kind, compassionate man that he was. RIP my dear friend! You will always hold a special place in my heart!
