Gene was a person of restless energy, intellectual curiosity, and great personal kindness. He always had some new ideas or opinions to share based on his voracious reading, interest in financial markets and current affairs and love of sports. Gene was always full of jokes, opinions and insights.
Above all, Gene was a fantastic grandfather. He showed real and continuing interest and care in all of his grandchildren and was highly attuned to their individual characters and interests, their strengths and the areas where they needed support. He will be remembered and treasured for this by them for all of their lives.
It was my pleasure snd privilege to interact with Gene over roughly the last 20 years, and always came away from him impressed by his warm, human spirit and the good humour he brought to all occasions.

My thoughts and prayers are with Gene's family. As a former resident of Golf and Racquet CC, I knew Gene for a long time; always a gentlemen, we shared many conversations about our families. He will certainly be missed.

My father was and will always be the kindest, gentlest man I've ever known. He was loved by everyone who was fortune enough to have shared his life. He leaves behind eight loving grandchildren, forever grateful for his humour, guidance and love. I will always remember him as laughing and smiling, even on the day he passed. I love you Dad.

My heart is filled with beautiful memories of happy times together. Memories of Juan in a Million, road trips to S.C. and tar balls (inside joke), just to mention a few. I shall treasure our many years of friendship. Thank you, Geno
