Eugene Jacobs Jr Obituary
Eugene, known to his loved ones as June, was an amazing Dad and "Papa" who cherished his children and grandchildren. He had a deep love for God and was adored by all who knew him. A hard worker, Eugene's caring nature touched everyone he encountered, earning him the love and respect of many.
He is survived by his three children: Travis Jacobs (Daughter-In-Law Tasheka Jacobs) of Prairieville, LA, Sheena Jacobs of Baton Rouge, LA, and Christopher Jacobs of Houston, TX. Eugene also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Christina, Jordan, Bria, Karson, Bryn, Brye, and Xy'lah. He is also survived by his sister Tammy Jacobs, and brothers Abraham Jacobs and James Land.
Eugene's educational journey included attending Lee High School in Baton Rouge, LA, and later pursuing higher education at Southern University. Throughout his career, Eugene served in various roles, including with the Baton Rouge Police Department. He was a Truck Driver, and later on Dispatcher for Yellow Cab.
In his leisure time, Eugene found joy in making Tee Shirts and spending quality moments with his grandchildren. A Memorial Service in honor of Eugene will be held on Saturday, February 24th, at Wilson Funeral Home in Baton Rouge at 2:00 pm.
Wilson Funeral Home in Baton Rouge, LA, is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements. Eugene will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
