Donna, time and distance take its toll for getting to know people. reading the condolences of Gene's friends and coworkers helped knowing more about him. I am so thankful I was able to spend, all be it short, a wonderful time with you and Gene in Feb. Jean Orban

I came to know Gene since 1969 and we bacame family friends since 1971. Gene and Donna Mae are part of our family as we settled in US. Gene was a true professional, known expert and consultant in refrigeration field. His honest counsel and guidance for all aspects of life will be missed. We pray to God for eternal peace for the departed soul and pray to provide strength to family members and friends to bear such a huge loss.

I am pleased to have worked with Gene professionally over the last six years. He inspired me with his knowledge, stories and desire to teach. I am saddened to have lost a dear friend and strengthened by the principles and values he lived by every day.

I'd like to offer Gene's family my condolences.
It's always a sad day when all the great ones have to leave us. I was lucky enough to meet Gene back in the early 1980's and really got to know him in 1990 when he and I worked on a project for three straight years. Gene was like a father figure. He was always ready to help anyone if they were ready to pay attention.

Working with Gene was always interesting. His passion to satisfy his customers’ needs was always evident. We could always reminisce about our time working for Copeland. Gene always had stories to tell and was always an excellent source of technical information on a wide variety of subjects. He will be truly missed by his friends.

We remember Gene as a man who always wanted and was ready to help. His garage was a virtual "Home Depot". We will miss him as will his family.
