Dax and I have been managing, but your absence has left life a lot darker... you were always the light both with work and at home. Dax has cancer, so I'm going to be sending him to you very soon. In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always. Eugene was the very first person to introduce themselves to me when I first joined Visual Comfort about 8 months ago. He called me over video and we ended up talking for about an hour getting to know each other and immediately became close friends afterwards. Although I've only known him for 8 months, he made such a positive impact in my life and I'm so sad that he left us so soon and at such an early age. I will always remember Eugene as the fun quirky smart and talented designer that always had time for my jokes and lighting questions. Sending my love to the family <3

There are people who take life by the reins and navigate their path. This was Eugene, whatever he did, he did, with a genuine passion and purpose. He would light up any room with his presence, warmth and love. We will all miss him greatly, a piece of our hearts has been ripped away.

This has been so unexpected that we are still in shock. We want to send our support and love to family and friends in this moment of sadness and pain. We will always and fondly remember Eugene's dedication and contribution to our profession and his generous commitment during his time as a member of our Board of Directors. Light and love!
