We have such fond and loving memories of our wonderful Uncle Gene. While growing up as a child, I always looked forward to our frequent visits when he/family lived in Massapequa and then Hauppauge - the best barbeque/pool parties! He and my dad (Sam) would play badminton, horseshoes and sometimes croquet in his yard. They would talk about their lawns! Yes, they both had perfect lawns! He always dressed so neatly and had a cheerful demeanor among his siblings...they were all almost like kids again! It left a wonderful and peaceful impression on me. When Dan came into my life, he and Uncle Gene really hit it off with their love of cooking GOOD (mostly Italian) food! Our Uncle Gene will always be special to us in so many ways and will always be loved & missed.
