Dear Rose, if is with deep sorrow that we learn of Gene's passing. Our sympathy and prayers are with you.

Gene will be missed greatly by all the service gang here at Burke. Things will be "lousy, don't ask !!"

Dear Rose,
Hold tight to your memories for comfort,lean on your friends and family for strength. Let yourself cry knowing each tear is a note of Love rising to the heavens. Perhaps the stars are not, but rather, openings in heaven where Gene is shinning down on you and letting you know He is at peace and happy. I will miss my old ship mate but lean on my old fond memories of Gene. God speed and rest in PEACE, my old friend.
