Eunice T. Clause

Clause, Eunice T. A retired secretary with the Louisiana Department of Purchasing, she died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005, at 11 p.m. at her home in Prairieville. She was 79 and a native of Paincourtville. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Survivors include her husband, Vilery Clause Sr.; daughter, Brenda Clause Shuff of Prairieville; son and daughter-in-law, Vilery Jr. and Joan Clause of Baton Rouge; extended family, Ron and Tonya Shuff and Walter Landry Sr.; brother, William Theriot of Houma; and two grandchildren, Nicole and Clayton Shuff. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claiborne and Aloysia Landry Theriot; brother, Eugene Theriot Sr.; two sisters, Eliska Theriot Schaff and Phyllis Theriot; and cousins raised as siblings, Dorothy Landry DeLeo, James Landry and Charles Landry. She loved to fish, had a keen sense of humor, was a great cook and loved her family most of all. Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, is in charge of arrangements.
