Eunice Kathryn Phillips

Eunice Kathryn Phillips was welcomed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on February 23, 2012. She was born the youngest of fifteen children to Charles and Ellen Malone on August 9, 1923. She grew up on a farm in Savoy, Texas and married Robert O. Phillips on September 20, 1941. They lived in a variety of places before settling down in Mesquite, Texas. She worked in many jobs but her main profession was being the inspirational loving Mother of her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son, Bobby Gene Phillips, and thirteen of her brothers and sisters. She is survived by daughters, Sharon E. Phillips, Renee Holloway, son Edward D. Phillips, sister Velma Lee Hamilton, son-in-law, Shawn Holloway, daughter-in-law, Catharine L. Phillips, grandchildren, Gregory Phillips, Chris Phillips, Eliot Jordan, Ryan Phillips, Jennifer Finlay, Kacy Holloway and Luke Holloway, and great-grandson, David Phillips. Our family offers a very special thank you to all of the caregivers of The Family's Choice. In Mom's memory donations may be made to Visiting Nursing Association. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2012, at Laurel Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Laurel Oaks Memorial Park in Mesquite, Texas.
