I was saddened to hear of your mother's passing. Mrs. Ricks will forever be a part of the collective memory of HI, the only person I remember seeking for help in the Bookstore, both as a student and again when returning as part of the faculty...I also think of our shared upbringing as Episcopalian, and the warmth she displayed during the times I would visit St. Augustine's church. May your good memories sustain you, and may God continue to keep you and family in the palm of His hand.

As time passes, and you return to life's routine, you will find comfort in memories of your mom. Hold them close, laugh and smile often. You were wonderful neighbors in our little 'village'.

My sincere condolences on the passing of your mom. I have many fond memories of her while growing up in Hampton.

Twig, Sidney, Tony. My condolences. Your mother was a grand lady. So tolerant, encouraging, supportive and more. How fortunate you all have been.

Sidney and Tuesday, I was certainly saddened to hear of the passing of your beloved Mother. I know that her three kids loved her, more importantly she knew it. As you remember her remember the great times you had. I certainly will remember being a little short in the Bookstore and getting that smile. Then when I "grew up" and would say to her you don't remember me and she would remind me that I was one of those football players that she had to remind that I didnt need a wool coat in September. Some of you knw the real story:)

To The RICKS Family, you have our deepest sympathy in the death of your mother/grandmother. She was a very caring and lovely neighbor from the time we moved in, a very sweet person. She will always be in our hearts. What a Blessing to have had a great neighbor who was always willing to listen and give advise.

When my brother "Arthur Green" and I grew up I remembered Sidney and his Mom at church when I was a child. Sidney was a close friend to my brother. I am truly sorry for your loss but your Mom is in the best of hands now.

To Skippy, Laverne, & Tony it hurt my heart to hear of the lady I had the pleasure of calling my mom passing but to know she went peacefully that's just her it was a joy for me to meet her and you all treated me like family I will continue to keep in touch LUV U ALL just know that she is home with her Maker and she's at peace !

I visited their home many times to see my good friend Mundy. She was always very kind and a great lady. My condolences to the family.

I worked with Sid Sr. at LAFB whenever I was in her home or the cottage in Mathews County she always made me feel so welcome. At many times I think of Sid Sr. so sorry for your LOSS.
